2020年12月30、31日下午，TEDx社团结业演讲在上外一实阅览室顺利举办。本次结业演讲的与会人员包括23位社员、外教Josh、社长许子涵、社团指导老师孔竹静、外教Freidman以及来自各年级前来观摩的同学。23位社员的演讲精彩纷呈，他们或是讲述妙趣横生的个人经历，或是分享大千世界的新奇知识，或是表达自己独到的见解，引得在场观众仔细聆听。

本学期，为丰富学生课余生活、锻炼学生英语演讲技巧，学校创设了TEDx英语演讲社团。在课堂上，外教Josh经常通过游戏的方式帮助学生锻炼英语演讲技巧，并为每位同学搭建“说”的平台。短短一学期内，每位社员都在英语演讲方面取得了不同程度的进步。
有位心理学家经过统计得出，在人们感到恐惧的事物中，死亡只排在第二位，而排在第一位的，是公众演讲。而TEDx的演讲课程帮助学生克服自己内心的恐惧，勇敢而自信地站在台上。而这次结业演讲的顺利举办，不仅要感谢老师们的辛苦付出，更要感谢每一位不断努力、不断突破自我的社员。

TEDx: A Platform Where We Can Express Bravely
——TEDx Club Presentation was held successfully
On the afternoon of December 30 and 31, 2020, Ted Talk Presentation of TEDx Club was successfully held in the reading room of No.1 Experimental School Affiliated to SISU. The participants included 23 club members, foreign teacher Josh, club president Xu Zihan, club advisor Kong Zhujing, foreign teacher Freidman and audience from different grades.
The speeches of the 23 club members were brilliant. Some speakers shared interesting stories; others shared novel knowledge of the world; still others expressed their own unique ideas, which attracted the audience to listen attentively.
Club president Xu Zihan announced the opening of the presentation.

In order to enrich students' after-school life and improve students' English speaking skills, the school created TEDx English Speech Club this semester. Josh, the foreign teacher, who often helped students enhance their English speaking skills through games, built a platform for each student to "speak". Each club member has made some progress in English speech within such a short semester.
According to a psychological research, among all the things that people fear, death ranks second, while public speaking ranks first. TEDx program helps students overcome their fears and stand on the stage bravely and confidently. And the success of the presentation owes not only to the teachers’ hard work, but also to all the members with their continuous efforts.
