American Lutheran Education System Direct Access Program
Developed in its 150 years of history, the Lutheran Education is now one of the four leading private school systems in the United States, with first-class teaching quality and unified deployment of faculty resources. The average SAT score of Lutheran students is higher than 1,400. The Lutheran System currently has nearly 500 all-through schools covering kindergarten to elementary and middle school education, while its 27 high schools are mainly located in Wisconsin, within the reach of Chicago. In Shanghai, only a select group of students from Shanghai Foreign Language School (SFLS) and Shanghai No.1 Experimental School (FES) Affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), among others, would be admitted by Lutheran high schools. Our students have gained a lot in the Lutheran family, and have been recognized and favorably received by Lutheran high schools. The Direct Access Program, as part of the joint efforts of both parties to complement and develop each other’s advantages, will bring a truly cost-effective experience of studying abroad for outstanding Chinese students.
University of Toronto Green Path Program
In view of the excellent performance of our graduates at the University of Toronto (UT), the UT Scarborough Campus has come to an agreement with us to offer a Green Path for the eleventh graders of SISU-FES. Any student at the SISU-FES would be eligible to apply for the Green Path Program through a school recommendation without standardized test (e.g. SAT or TOEFL) scores. An applicant would enter the University of Toronto once he/she can pass the unified test organized by the UT and obtain his/her high school diploma. This program will greatly relieve high school students from standardized testing and enable them to truly concentrate on the fields of study in which they would like to be engaged in the future.
Our high school students can also apply for the Green Path Program of Preparatory course of Aachen University of Applied Science and technology. Any student at the SISU-FES would be eligible to apply for the program through a school recommendation without standardized test (e.g. SAT or TOEFL) scores. This preparatory course program helps students to enter six great German universities and also enables students to apply for TU9 top universities as RWTH Aachen University.
